Ingredients

  • 3 cups puffed rice (murmura)
  • Purva Peanut Pearls – Roasted (plain or salted), lightly crushed
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 potato, boiled and diced
  • 2 tbsp grated fresh coconut
  • 1 green chilli, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ cup sev or oma podi
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • ½ tsp jeera (cumin) powder
  • ½ tsp dhaniya (coriander) powder
  • Purva Naturals Sesame Oil (cold pressed)

Method

  1. If using raw peanuts, dry roast until crunchy. Set aside to cool.
  2. In a large bowl, add puffed rice, roasted peanuts, chopped onion, boiled potato, grated coconut, green chilli, and coriander leaves.
  3. Sprinkle salt, red chilli powder, jeera powder, and dhaniya powder evenly.
  4. Drizzle Purva cold-pressed sesame oil and toss gently until everything is well coated.
  5. Add sev or oma podi just before serving to keep the crunch intact.
  6. Mix once more and serve immediately.

Tips

  • Serve right after mixing to keep the puffed rice crisp.
  • Adjust the quantity of oil and green chilli based on your spice preference.
  • Add chopped cucumber or raw mango for extra freshness and tang.
  • Sesame oil adds a deep, nutty aroma while keeping the dish light.
